I own a sewing machine, and occasionally I use it to make things. After coming across some really fun, beautiful quilts online, I decided I would make quilts for my two new nephews. It can't be that hard, right? Well, I'm no expert. I simply read tutorials online to figure out what to do. I kept it really simple and it's no where close to being perfect. It's definitely handmade, and I kind of like it that way!

I started this quilt before my nephew was born. He just turned two. Yep, I finished the top and bottom two years ago and never found the time to actually sew it all together. Better late than never, I guess!
My other little nephew turns two at the end of the month and his quilt will be in the mail, and on the way to Germany in time for his birthday! (I don't want to spoil the surprise, so I will post pictures after his birthday)!
Picking out fabric was one of my favorite parts of this project! I just love this organic line from Birch Fabric. I ordered mine from Fresh Squeezed Fabrics

I think this quilt will get lots of love through the years!

I have some more quilts in the works for the other little people in our family and after coming across this post, I decided I would join Elise and publicly declare my goal to finish these quilts before the end of year! (Hopefully this month, if my sewing machine cooperates)!

I shot Kelly and Brett's engagement session on my husband's grandparent's beautiful land in Boston, Georgia. This was my first time shooting at this location and it will not be my last! Man, there's something about being out in the country. Such peace and quiet....

It started to rain on us, but Kelly and Brett were so awesome and didn't even care that we were getting wet! The rain was actually quite refreshing.

Kelly and Brett, you two were an absolute joy to photograph and I cannot wait until your wedding at the end of the month! Enjoy your photos!

The following is one of my favorites!

Another favorite! These two are just so cute together!

Kelly, you should be a model!'re gorgeous!

Noah turned three months old recently, so it was time to get together to document his growth! Last time, he was a tiny little newborn.
It's really amazing how much babies change in just three short months!
I just can't get enough of those blue eyes!
He is already mastering tummy time and clearly, loving it!
The Sims are one of the sweetest (and cutest) families I know! Harrison is a great big brother. He adores little Noah and doesn't have any trouble expressing his love!
These two are quickly on their way to being best friends!
I'll leave you with one of my favorites. I seriously can't get enough of those beautiful eyes!
